National Public Radio's Morning Edition. NPR's Cheryl Corley reports on efforts on the part of blues musicians and enthusiasts to preserve Maxwell Street in Chicago for its musical heritage. Blues musicians used to regularly perform on the corner of Maxwell and Halsted streets. Now, the University of Illinois - Chicago plans to construct academic, residential, and retail buildings there.
