For the sake of his friends and family, legendary blues artist and Maxwell
Street native Jimmie Lee Robinson has ended his fast protesting the destruction
of Maxwell Street. He began the fast on August 17, 2000. Jimmie Lee has
been a fervent supporter of the movement to save Maxwell Street from destruction
by the University of Illinois at Chicago. Read
