Associated Medical Electronics is an independent biomedical support and consulting company in the Southern California medical community. AME specializes in the Cardiovascular, Blood Management and Biomedical disciplines. Services are offered for COBE products in the Southern California area, only.

Gambro USA purchased COBE Laboratories, Inc. in 1990.
Gambro USA sells COBE CV to Sorin Biomedica in 1998 with the divestiture completed in 1999.
Sorin Biomedica forms COBE Cardiovascular, Inc. in 1999. (The COBE BRATŪ and Sorin Stockert product lines continue.)
Baxter acquires COBE Heart-lung machine product in 1999.
Gambro changes the company name COBE BCT to Gambro BCT in 2000.
Baxter creates Edwards Lifesciences as an independent company in 2000.
Jostra Bentley acquires Bentley and COBE Century Heart-lung machine in 2000.
Gish Biomedical is the exculsive distributor of the Century Heart-lung machine in 2004.

The Journal of Associated Medical Electronics or, The AME Journal, is a newsletter covering events and reference articles in the specialties mentioned. In addition, reviews of quality educational multimedia software and Internet applications are contained in the publication.
