Egypt's Pyramid Age
Ann Macy Roth
Department of Classics

home.gif (9985 bytes) Egypt's Pyramid Age deals primarily with the history of ancient Egypt in the Old Kingdom period, dating from about 3000 BC to 2250 BC.  It was during this period that Egyptian civilization took on its classical form, and that the greatest pyramids were built.  Although part of this history depends upon translated texts, archaeological, architectural, and artistic evidence will also be presented and discussed.  This course is offered in alternate years.
