STANFORD BASEBALL
Stanford scored 12 runs in the first three innings to defeat St. Mary's this evening at Sunken Diamond. The highlight was a six-run third when Tony Schrager, Edmund Muth and Jody Gerut hit consecutive home runs. Then two batters later Josh Hochgesang hit his first HR of the year to make it four in the inning. Hochgesang had three hits as did Damien Alvarado who added three RBI's. Starter Geoff Linville went three innings for the win. Brad Drew pitched the fourth. Austin Coose got in three shutout innings. Jason Young hurled the eighth and Tony Cogan closed it out.
