STANFORD BASEBALL
Arizona hit four home runs off Chad Hutchinson and substitute starter Tony Milo kept the Cardinal bats relatively quiet for 6.1 innings in a 9-5 win for the Wildcats on a rainy afternoon at Sunken Diamond. Arizona built a 5-1 lead in the fifth before Stanford rallied for three runs in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-4. A solo HR by Colin Porter made it 6-4 in the sixth and finished off Hutchinson (5IP,6R,7H,2BB,5K). Austin Coose relieved and pitched well before giving up three runs in the eighth. Jason Young finished that inning and Tony Cogan hurled the ninth. For Arizona, Ryan Moskau went the final 2.2 innings and kept Stanford in check only giving up one run on one hit. Omar Moraga, Greg Clark & Russ Brown also homered for Arizona. John Salter had a HR for Stanford and Jay Pecci had two RBI's. The last three innings were played in a steady rain.
