STANFORD BASEBALL
John Gall had three hits including a solo HR and three RBI's to lead the Cardinal over St. Mary's this evening at Sunken Diamond by the score of 11-5. Six Stanford pitchers walked 13 batters but managed to hold St. Mary's to five runs as the Gaels stranded 15 runners. Starter Austin Coose went 1.2 innings, followed by winner Geoff Linville with 2.1, then Jason Young for 1 inning. Freshman Brad Drew made his college debut with two shutout innings followed by Justin Dunning for 0.2 of an inning and then closer Tony Cogan went the final 1.1 innings. Josh Hochgesang had two hits and two RBI's, and Edmund Muth & Jody Gerut contributed two hits apiece.
