3 May, 1999 -Added the Poison Oak FAQ to the
Medical Conditions page. This information became very important after going on the SRG-post meeting cave trip with director Mark
"I know where the cave is" Bowers. My first case of systemic poison oak! To be fair, Mark did know where the cave was - finding the
trail to the cave was another matter entirely!
14 April, 1999 -Added the Self Rescue Group Business Pages to the site. The pages have links to our meeting minutes, and announcments of the next meeting.
8 April, 1999 -Reorganized the Reading Room into "libraries". Added Harness Induced Pathology, General Backcountry Safety, Basic Helicopter Training, and Intermediate Helicopter Training to the Reading Room. Added Suunto USA and Princeton Tec to the links page.

4 February, 1999 - Added in Wayfinding in Caves - A Proposed Curriculum for a Short Course in Self Rescue. Thanks to Dr. David Lemberg for contributing his paper, and supporting this site. It is much appreciated (Hey ladies - he's single, intelligent, owns his own home, and makes a mean dish of pasta). Also thanks to Bill Storage for giving me updates to his excellent articles.

5 December, 1998 - Added in a link to the First European Cave Rescue Symposium on the events page. Also added Portland Mountain Rescue Unit, Bay Area Mountain Rescue Unit, and El Paso County Search and Rescue to the links page.

26 November, 1998 - Well, we now have a slightly altered look which allows the pages to load about 70% faster! Yes, I'm doing this on Thanksgiving day - Dad is currently down with the flu. Hey, we'll celebrate it later.
VERY IMPORTANT! I've added in the announcement for the Self Rescue Group planning meeting on the events page. Plan on attending if you're in the area - we sure could use the help with all the work that needs to be done!
I added in articles to the Reading Room on Acetylene: Produced By Carbide, Nylon And Polyester Chemical Resistance, Inspecting Web Slings, OSHA Standards for Slings, and OSHA Standards for Personal Fall Arrest Systems. I've also added links in to CaverNet and the International Society for Mountain Medicine on the links page.
27 October, 1998 - Added in Self Rescue from Lechuguilla - Lessons Learned. by Peter Jones. Thanks to Peter for supporting this site with his contributions! Also a belated thank you to John Green for his Harness Hang Pathology article, and to John Ganter for the pointers to his articles. Keep those contributions coming!
18 October, 1998 - Added links to Corvallis Mountain Rescue Unit (CMRU), Artificial Rigging Anchors for the Present and Future, Ropes, Loads, and Energy, Corvallis Mountain Rescue Unit Rigging, FM 5-125: Rigging Techniques, Procedures, and Applications, Harness Hang Pathology and Psychological Factors and Cascading Errors: A Fatal Accident Case-Study. The Central Region NCRC also has a new address and revised web site.
22 September, 1998 - I finished "redecorating"!
21 September, 1998 - Added a whole bunch of stuff to the reading room. Changed the fonts and format so it is easier to see the articles.
11 September, 1998 - Completed a major upgrade on the site, complete with new graphics. Added in the search engine.
31 August, 1998 - Finished the contact page. You can now e-mail us from our web site! I'm still working on the search engine though....
28 August, 1998 - Added still more links to the Reading Room and to the Links page.
22 August, 1998 - Added Radon Update to the Reading Room. Maybe I'll finish finding all these cool references!

Added a link to CMI on the links page. Made the monthly update to the self rescue tips.
16 August, 1998 - Added the Socorro Subterranean Search and Rescue (Southwest Region) NCRC Basic Training to the events page.
12 August, 1998 - Added articles on bad air in caves and carbon dioxide in caves to the reading room.
9 August, 1998 - Added Rocky Mountain Region NCRC training, and 1999 NCRC training to the events page, added an article on compartment syndrome to the reading room, and fixed some broken links.
