2. Report shorebirds with color bands and flagsIf you see color banded (ringed) shorebirds*, try to record the color and placement of the bands and flags. Researchers need to know what is above and below the leg joint ("knee") and placement on left and right legs. Also add the date, time, location and, if possible, the numbers and species of other shorebirds present with the marked bird.
