Report Banded Golden and Black-bellied (Gray) Plovers
Researchers Dr. Wally Johnson, Phillip Bruner and Robert Gill have banded Pacific and American Golden-Plovers (Pluvialis fulva and P. dominica) and Black-bellied Plovers (P. squatarola) in the Pacific and in Alaska. Please report any observations of these banded plovers to them.

Their breeding habitat is under threat from disturbance by people, their pets and their recreational vehicles. They are currently being colour-banded in Victoria, NSW, in order to learn more about their movements and their ecology in a project of the AWSG.
