Calvin and Hobbes: Guilt trip!

Description

Calvin is preparing to sled down a hill when the call comes.

"Calvin, telephone!"

He runs back to the house, sheds hat, coat and boots, goes to the phone, and winces (with the phone held at arm's length), as the voice on the other end demands:

"Why aren't you at the library?!?"

Comments

This one requires a little background.... Susie and Calvin are supposed to be working together on a research report on Mercury. Calvin, in typical Calvin fashion, has spent the entire week not doing his share of the work, and Susie has told him to do his part over the weekend. So the call is from Susie, who is petrified that Calvin's failure to contribute will mean that she'll end up going to a second-rate college.

All in all, though, I think that, timed correctly, this would be a good strip to send to a librarian who is on a long-overdue vacation.
