Robotman: Monty and the librarian, part 3

Description

Monty and Robotman are walking away from the library. Robotman comments, "Quite frankly, I don't see why you're so infatuated with an uptight librarian."

Monty replies, "She may appear uptight at first glance, but use your imagination... First, remove the wire-rimmed glasses. Next, take away the dowdy librarian clothes and unpin her primly, pinned-up hair... Then!... Then just imagine what you'd see!"

Robotman can imagine, all too well, it seems: "A squinting, naked, long-haired uptight librarian."

Comments

Sheesh. Not only is this a total play on the stereotyped image of librarians (I have never seen an area set aside in any store for "librarian clothes"), he goofed the punctuation. Yes, the comma after "primly" is not an error on my part. Add nitpicky to the list of adjectives!

Of course, having said that, I must admit that I liked this particular strip. Robotman has such a talent for deflating Monty's wilder ideas.
