Harold and Lillian

A Hollywood Love Story

Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story is a charming documentary about a Hollywood couple who were married for sixty years.  Indeed, in Hollywood, a sixty-year marriage is an accomplishment in itself.

Though most of their work went uncredited on the screen, the Michelsons made major contributions to innumerable Hollywood classics, including those directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Mike Nichols, Mel Brooks and Roman Polanski.

Harold was a premier storyboard artist and Lillian ran one of the best research libraries in the film business.

Written and directed by Daniel Raim, Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story features candid conversations with the Michelsons, as well as Danny DeVito, Mel Brooks, Francis Ford Coppola and others.  It is, indeed, a moving film about a marriage between two talented people who helped create some of the finest films ever produced.

The Blu-ray disc from Kino Lorber includes deleted scenes, a featurette in which Harold Michelson discusses his work on The Graduate, and a booklet featuring Michelson’s original art and an interview with writer-director Daniel Raim.
