During the summer season the cottage is available for weekly rentals only. Weekly Summer cottage rentals run from Friday afternoon until the following Friday morning.

The price is $1450 per week in June, $1750 per week in July & August, $1450 per week in September.

Weekends are available from September 20,2003 thru May 20,2004 for $450 per weekend - holiday weekends $550.

What might you do if you tire of relaxing on one of the world's finest freshwater beaches?

For starters you might take a hike in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, scope out bargains at the Lighthouse Outlet Mall. You can walk to many nearby Michigan City Events in historic Washington Park or the take the kids for a walk to the Zoo!

You might try your luck at the Blue Chip Casino. You could tour nearby vineyards, and museums or take in a concert.

If you care roam, South Bend is only 30 miles away. Beyond this lies the Amish community at Shipshewana. Closer to The Cottage you might discover things to do in La Porte County or dine in one of many restaurants just over the state line in Michigan or head west towads the Dunes to nearby Chesterton or Valparaiso.

The Beach:

Recently I travelled up north to Charlevoix, Traverse City and Petosky and saw the often small, somtimes rocky, cold water shore. Now I understand why folks ask so many questions about our beach ( how big is it? ...what is the sand like?... is it rocky?). Our beach is a beautiful wide "sugar sand" shoreline. It's about 150 yds wide and over 4 miles long. Recently I took a few photographs focussed on the beach itself. You can see these photos here:
