Library Director.  The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library is seeking a
director for a library serving a population of 40,000+.  We need a high
energy, community minded individual to plan, direct, and coordinate all
operations of the library.  This person will preside over the library
during times of great change.  Major projects include a $3.5-million new
building set for completion in the year 2000, and a new automation
system.  Strong communication and public relations skills imperative.
QUALIFICATIONS:  3-5 years post MLS administrative experience with a
knowledge of technology and automated systems helpful.  Salary range
