Palais du Papes Avignon, Provence
This the place where I lost it. It being my mind. By this point in the trip, we had been to see so many

things that I was getting a little numb.

So, we go into the palace and they give us these little radio tour guide things which gave “way” to much data dump on every single detail of every room. And in each bit of tape, in the middle, at the beginning, at the end, there was a Gregorian chant.

In the final room, my mother groans, in perfect imitation, the chant and I started to laugh. I couldn't stop. I just sat on the steps and laughed until I felt light headed.

We turned in our guide things, went round a corner and there was a wine tasting. At that moment, I knew that I was done sightseeing that day. Good wine though. Bought some port too.
