Shooting Team Information 2007

The Tenth Regiment, Illinois Volunteer Infantry sponsors a black powder Shooting Team within the structure of the Civil War Skirmish Association (ONT Region). Our Shooting Team participates in five or six black powder shoots per year. Most of the events are held in Wisconsin locations and include pistol, carbine, and rifle competitions. Promoting safety, marksmanship, and team effort, the Regimental Shooting Team encourages participation of both experienced and beginner shooters.

Anyone over 16 may join our Shooting Team, but those who are under 18 will need parental permission. For more information about Shooting Team events, contact Captain Rick Reiner: rreiner@aol.com

 

Our 2007 shooting team schedule:

May 5-6: Appleton, Wisconsin
June 16: Bristol, Wisconsin (musket and carbine teams only)
July 14-15: Oconomowoc, Wisconsin (Stonebank range)
Aug. 4-5: Boscobel, Wisconsin
Sept. 1-2: Tomahawk, Wisconsin

Our tentative 2008 shooting team schedule:

Feb 10, 10 a.m.: ACWSA Board Meeting at the Sherry's Burlington, WI
May 3-4: 66th NC skirmish at Appleton, WI
June 14: 2 WI skirmish at Bristol, WI (one-day skirmish, Carbine and Musket Team ONLY)
July 12-13: 56th VA at Stonebank range, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin
Aug. 2-3: USSS, 15 WI & 8 WI at Boscobel, Wisconsin
Aug. 30-Sept. 1: 8 & 2 WI at Rhinelander, WI
Sept. 20-21: 15th WI at Bristol, WI
