1. Textual Criticism

14 The Septuagint omits these verses through verse 26. 15 For xm;c,, Theodotion reads, anatolh. Also, the Masoretic, Targum and Syriac versions read this way, referring to Jeremiah 23:5. Furthermore, for hq'd'c, several Theodotion Manuscripts prefer qydic;, as at 23:5. Thereafter, about twenty Syriac manuscripts would add %l,m, %l;m'W lyKif.hiw>, again as in 23:5. 16 For Hl'-ar'q.yI, three Syriac and Vulgate manuscripts read WaWar'q.y and Targum would add an ending h. Then, for Wnqed>c hw"hi, the Vulgate follows 23:6, as here. More significantly, though, for hz, five Syriac manuscripts would add AmV., like in 23:6 and some would read ymiV, inserted with the Targum, hmV , or still others would read with Theodotion Vulgate, mVh.

2. Rough Translation

14 Behold days are coming Word of Yahweh and I shall carry out the word(s) good which I spoke unto the sons of Israel and unto the sons of Judah. 15 In time (of) those days will sprout from David a sprout of righteousness and he will do justice and righteousness in the land. 16 In days those will be saved/victorious/delivered/liberated Judah and Jerusalem will abide/dwell in safety/security and this which will be called it Yahweh Righteousness.
