Antes del milenio, muchas personas se preocupaban demasiado del año nuevo. Muchos pensaron que todo el mundo habría chaos durante el cambio al nuevo año 2000. Cuando llegó el año 2000, que llamamos "Y2K," pasaron todas las maquinas, computadoras y los sitios de la red electronica y dieron bien la fecha apropiado. Fue un Y2K fizz.

En Nueva York en Times Square hubo una celebración GRANDOTA con millónes de personas. En California hubieron muchísimas fiestas diferentes. En Las Vegas habían muchas personas apostando dinero y en Paris, las personas encendieron fuegos artificiales desde la torre de Eiffel. La compañía de los dulces M&M's nos recuerdan que estos dulces tienen una parte importante porque en números romanos MM es 2000. Fue un Y2K fizz, pero con celebraciónes y dulces divertidos, es un año nuevo bueno.

Before the beginning of the new millenium, people worried and overreacted too much about the New Year. A lot of people thought that the entire world would go into chaos. For others, it was a normal New Year. When the New Year change happened, all of the machines, computers, and web sites worked and indicated the appropriate date. It was a Y2K fizz.

In New York Times Square there was a HUGE celebration with millions of people. In California, there were a lot of different parties. In Las Vegas a lot of people gambled, and in Paris they shot fireworks off the Eiffel Tower. The M&M company has a campaign reminding us that this candy is important because MM in Roman numerals represents 2000. It was a Y2K fizz, but with the celebrations and candy to eat it was a fun New Year.
