Our new pond - Littleton, CO
This is the first phase, still under construction. It is a series of 6 tubs, 300 gal each.
The tubs cascade from one to the next. The tubs will be used as a water garden.
In the future, we plan to add a large pond between the string of tubs and the house. At that point, the tubs will become a vegetable filter for the Koi pond.
Our old pond - Fairfax, VA
This Koi pond is constructed of brick and concrete. Built 1993-1994.
The main area is 16' x 24' x 5.5'. Total volume: 14,000 gallons.
Pumps: two sets of airlifts. Each set operated by Sweetwater L-70 airpump. Each set has 6 vertical pipes of 1.5" diameter with 4 airstones per pipe.
