Much of my recent work experience has been in the field during construction or repair utilizing the following codes: American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, American Petroleum Institute [API(510, 570, 576, 620, and 650)], and the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA).
Some of my most recent accomplishments include creating a database in Microsoft Access that is currently being used by Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Champion Paper International. It is used to inventory their pressure vessels and storage tank inspection history and design data. Assisted Ingersoll-Rand with the design of extruded piping to be manufactured in Italy.

For Mercedes only transmission and engine service without the overhead and frills, Auto Verks is the one stop shop. Most parts for engine and transmission are kept in stock ready for shipment or installation. We also carry quality aftermarket parts by the same manufacturers that supply M-B. At Auto Verks, we have a mechanic staff that is capable of tuning old and new gas engines, rebuilding transmissions with original Mercedes parts, and making that turbo diesel run with the gas models (yes, we work on non-turbo diesels too).

Rebuilt Transmissions are available for $1200-1400 for most cars. All transmissions come complete and ready for installation. All rebuilds come complete with original M-B seals and a valve body with shift kit. All you do is send us your core and you receive a complete transmission ready to bolt in.

With over 28 years of experience, owner and manager Max Plowman has had over 12 years of factory Mercedes Benz training. Max has also obtained a special skill in rebuilding valve bodies for all gas and diesel transmissions manufactured prior to 1995. So if your diesel slams into 2nd gear or you want that 4 speed automatic to start out in 1st gear, give Auto Verks a call and a qualified technician will assist your call.

Most turbo diesel owners are operating with the boost pressure below spec and don't realize it. Does your sedan or wagon feel sluggish? If so, we recommend the "Complete Setup"; we will check compression, clean and calibrate injectors, check valve clearance, and set the turbo boost pressure within 1.5 psi of factory speck.

We are equipped to perform valve jobs, transmission overhaul, A/C service with leak detection, cruise control troubleshooting, restoration parts (limited supply at this time, but we can get it if they still make it), and just about anything else you would expect your local MB dealer to perform.

Valve Bodies

Rebuilt valve body shipped to your home for $400 plus a $75 core charge. This will include installation and adjustment instructions. If you can replace a transmission filter, you can replace a valve body. We recommend a filter and fluid change at the same time. Filter with gasket $15 with valve body purchase.

In the North Carolina area you can set up an appointment and bring it in the morning and we will have it ready that day. Our cost including adjustment and filter change is $550 (including tax).
