Santa Fe New Mexico is renowned as a great Mecca of culture and nature.
Each year thousands of lucky visitors come to Santa Fe to enjoy the natural beauty and outdoor activities during the day and
then onto world class cultural activates at night. CondéNast Travel has ranked Santa Fe one of the
top five destinations in the world for the past ten years. Physicians from across North America have vacation homes here and
dream of the day they can retire to Santa Fe. They tolerate their current cities and practices in anticipation of eventually
living their dream. It is a fortunate few that can live in Santa Fe while still practicing medicine;
they live the dream every day. We are looking for another interventional cardiologist and two non-invasive cardiologistsd
to join our program. We are seeking unique individuals who do not want to wait until
they retire before starting to enjoy the best that life has to offer.
Nestled at the foot of the beautiful Sangre
de Cristo Mountains, Santa Fe is known as the City Different. A blend of
cultures, including Native American and Hispanic, gives this capital city its distinctive flavor. Santa Fe has been a center
for artists and writers for more than a hundred years. Its galleries, shops and museums offer a visual feast.
"Santa
Fe is a beacon; the superstar attraction of the Southwest's burgeoning tourist boom. The City Different, as it is called,
is a favorite vacation retreat for New York publishers, Hollywood stars, and legions of other people who are drawn to its
enchanting landscape, elegant hotels and fine restaurants, cultural scene, and long, colorful history; it is the oldest capital
city in the United States."
The cultural activities in Santa Fe rival cities with
populations in the millions. The Santa Fe Opera is a world class opera in its new state of the art
home. The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is also a world class event offering a full range of chamber
music and jazz. The Lensic Peforming Arts Center brings in theater, dance
and music. The Festival Santa Fe organization incorporates six of the major events in Santa Fe but there are
many more. The season is so full it is difficult to decide what to see! The small size of Santa Fe (approximately 65,000)
means that all locations are only a short ten to fifteen minute drive and there is no excuse not get out! Many friends and
patients have come to Santa Fe from much larger cities for its cultural activities. They find the ease of access and short
drives encourages them to do far more here than they did in a large city.
The visual arts have always been central to
Santa Fe's existence. Since prehistoric times art and craft have defined the region. Native American
art and craft remain a viable and important part of the local culture. Since the last century painting
and sculpture have flourished here. From the original Taos School through Georgia O'Keeffe
and into the current era the city has attracted the finest artists. There are over one hundred art
galleries and Santa Fe is the third largest art market in the US. Friday nights the galleries have their openings and thousands
of people stroll the streets going from gallery to gallery. It is a truly unique experience. There
are seven major museums and several smaller museums as well. Most would call the larger art galleries museums also!
Santa Fe is the highest city in the United States sitting
at 7,000 feet. Outside the mountains rise to over 13,000ft. The air is always clean and crisp. We have been
rated by the EPA as having the second cleanist city air in the US. Summers are seldom overly
hot due to the low humidity and summer showers that cool the afternoons. Most well built homes do not have air-conditioning
as it is not needed. You can play tennis, golf or hike in the noon day sun with comfort. In the winter we get enough snow to make it beautiful. The warm winter sun invites all form of outdoors activities
such as skiing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the mountains. The Santa Fe Ski area is nineteen
miles from town and world renowned Taos Ski Valley is an easy drive. There
are four wilderness areas within day hike distance as well as millions of acres of national forest. "Outside Magazine" chose
Santa Fe for its corporate headquarters because of our natural offerings and variety.
The small size of Santa Fe (65,000) ensures that there are no long commutes
and no long waits in traffic. One does not waste hours driving when there is so much to do. All the cultural, artistic and
outdoors activities are only minutes away. There are no excuses to not partake in the offerings of
the area. If you want to live your dreams now and not when you retire consider this once in a life
time offer. You can join the fortunate physicians that live here and don't have to save vacation
time to come for fleeting visits. If this appeals to you please look at the Job offer cardiology Santa Fe page and consider us.
