"Let us read and study the 12th chapter of Daniel.

It is a warning we shall all need to understand

before the time of the end."

Ltr. 161, July 30, 1903

Ellen G. White

In regard to the above paragraph, what book should we study?

Which chapter of that book needs our special study?

Why should we all need to understand a warning?

On what date was this letter 161 written?

Considering the date written, is the verb tense of the phrase, "we shall all need"

referring to past or future?

Therefore, does the phrase, "the time of the end," apply before, or after 1903?

Does the "time of the end," as used in the above paragraph

refer to A.D. 508, 1798, and 1844? Or to the future?

Therefore,

The messages given by John the Baptist prepared the people for the first coming of Jesus. The messages of Daniel 12, as presented in this book, A Condensation of the book WARNING, will help to prepare you for the Second Coming of Jesus. The three timelines in Daniel 12 will not tell you the day and hour of the Second Coming of Jesus, but they will help you to know exactly where you are in the stream of time all through the final crisis; because they will throw a flood of light on events then to occur. This is a handbook, which will help you to use the Bible as its own interpreter. It will guide and guard you as you learn how to count out the timelines of Daniel 12 and apply them correctly.
