Jason Marchand - Bass, Background Vocals

Jason was a founding member of Artemis and was with the group from 1996 until after he graduated from high school in May of 2000. He has been playing music basically all his life, playing drums before he could reach the pedals. He became a very fine drummer and played with the Baton Rouge Concert Band, the Baton Rouge Jazz Ensemble and a local group Orange Pop Chicken. Jason switched to bass about 1995 and has been burning ever since. Jason decided it was time to further his music career by attending Southern University and playing his new acoustic bass with different jazz groups in town. He is currently playing with jazz pianist Brigham Hall and occasionally sits in with blues master Tabby Thomas. We miss him a lot, but you never know. On any given Artemis "Daiquiri Cafe night", you just might see him stroll in with his bass on his back. If you do, just stand back and watch him work! You can email Jason here.

Harry Toups - Keyboards, EWI, Background Vocals

Harry was also a founding member of Artemis from it's humble beginings in 1996 and was a giant part of forming Artemis into the band it is today. Harry's been in music for 40+ years: from the 50's Metairie grade school band that Al Hirt once taught, to the wailing tenor saxophonist in the vintage 60's New Orleans-style horn band, "Danny and the Chevelles," to 5 years with The Golden Band from Tigerland and decades since as a church musician. Harry Officially "retired" from Artemis in 2006 to devote more time to his family, church music and his new teaching career as an engineering professor at LSU.

Anne Sligar - Keyboards, Flute, Background Vocals

Anne didn't have a choice when it came to being in the music biz. Her whole family is into everything musical. Being blessed with more than her share of talent, Anne took the hint and studied classical piano at USM and LSU and has been accompianist at just about every denomination of church for the last 15 years. Piano bar stuff? Not a problem for Anne. She played at Mansur's in Baton Rouge for a time. Anne took a "leave of absence" in 2008(we won't let her quit) to spend more time with her family.
