Where DID that name come from?

A little background first. We rehearse at Al's house on Sunday afternoons. At every practice we would agonize over what to call our band . None of the names we thought of seem to fit. For example, some of the names that we kicked around were "The Power Lines", "Sound of a Cat Vomiting" and "The DJ's Worst Nightmare." Some of the more descriptive names included "Baldheaded White guys" and "The Folically Challenged." Naw....That only describes a couple of us and besides, we gotta chick! Enter Al's cat. Now for some reason, Al's cat has fallen in love with Dennis. Every Sunday the cat looks forward to the arrival of Dennis' old station wagon and can't seem to keep away from him. The cat was always rubbing on his shoes and Dennis would whine "Caayit".One time he actually stowed away in the car with hopes of going home with the big "D". Well, on the now famous Sunday afternoon, the cat had snuck into our rehearsal and started rubbing on Dennis' shoes while he was trying to play. Suddenly the cat bit him on the leg (cat lashing out at the object of his desire I suppose). Dennis spewed out, "Caayit"! Having heard enough of this particular line someone asked, "Does this cat have a name or do you just call him 'cat'?" "Of course he's got a name," Al replied. "It's Artemis." We all looked at each other and said, "Thats It!"
