The following are the weights of different components that can be replaced or removed from the BMW M coupe for weight savings when preparing to go racing.

Air Conditoning - 30 lbs

Cargo Cover - 11.5 lbs

Exhaust - 35 lbs (per side), 70 lbs total

Front Seat - 58 lbs (each), 116 lbs total

Sound Insulation from rear - 9.5 lbs

Steering Wheel and Airbag - 7 lbs
Passenger Airbag - 7 lbs
Side Airbag - 3.57 lbs or 7.0 lbs for both

Subwoofer - 7.0 lbs

Front Strut, Spring and hat - 15.5 lbs per side
Rear Shock and Spring - 9 lbs per side

Tools and two tool trays - 4.0 lbs

Front Wheel - 21 lbs (per wheel)
Rear Wheel - 24 lbs (per wheel)
