REXX Applications Programmer
Total responsibility for complex in-house VM REXX application
(SILAS/CDS) to administer employee logons, which consists of web pages,
about 30 batch servers and about 25 disconnected service machines.
This system was originally written by Ford Motor Company, and inherited
from them with little documentation. Also provided support for
other REXX applications (text pager, email distribution system)..
- Resolved application problems within pre-defined Service Level
Agreements.
- Provided application enhancements as requested by users (Visteon
Security group)
- Wrote ad hoc programs to report on data relationships and to
repair data which was damaged by pre-existing logice errors, or were
left over from the transition from Ford.
- Designed, coded and tested 'monitor' programs to send emails
and/or pages based on various trigger criteria.
- Analyzed application design and functionality, which many times
required an in-depth understanding of VM system capabilities and
functionality.
