If there are any stocks you'd like to see on the ticker, let me know.
I find that I spend a large part of my time online watching the stock market and trying to understand how it works.  (I also am trying to figure out how to make a lot of money with it, but I haven't quite figured that part out yet).  This page contains links to some of the resources that I've found useful.

The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need - Andrew Tobias

A simple guide to personal finance.  A terrific place to start.

A Random Walk Down Wall Street - Burton Malkiel

A compelling argument why it's so difficult to beat the market.

Bogle on Mutual Funds - John Bogle

From the founder of the Vanguard group, advice on what to look for when choosing a mutual fund.

Web Sites

Access Vanguard - Vanguard is the low cost leader in mutual funds.  They also introduced the first index mutual fund.  Their web site includes their "Plain Talk" series of booklets which explain investment concepts simply and clearly.

Morningstar.net - The best source of online information about mutual funds.

Quicken.com - from the people who brought you the personal finance software.

CBS Marketwatch - This is probably one of the most complete sites out there for business news.

Yahoo! Finance - where I usually go for stock quotes.  Now has insider trading information!

Nasdaq Stock Market - Another terrific site for quotes, news and charts on all Nasdaq, Amex and NYSE listed stocks.

Internal Revenue Service - They might take your money, but they've built a really useful web site that can answer all of your tax related questions.  You can download tax forms and publications as well (beats going to the post office to get them).

Investment Strategies for the 21st Century - An online book explaining how diversification can improve your investment results while reducing your risk.  Written by Frank Armstrong who writes the "Investing For Keeps" column for Morningstar.net.

Microsoft Investor - I know, Microsoft. But it does have some interesting information.

This page is under more construction than most on my site.  I'm currently drafting my own guide to investing, trying to summarize the lessons I've learned from the above sources.  Look for it soon.
