Houtzdale, Pennsylvania - A Time-Voyage
...There was a CCC camp in the Clearfield area. According
to my second cousin Frank Trojanowski, (below), "it was just like being in
the
Army".

Barely visible in the upper left in the photo below,
is a railroad bridge into the
mine. Mining was the principal economic force in the area, and it could be
the railroads (perhaps the New York Central) who brought my grandfather Stanley
Wozny into the
area
The coal
chutes went over the
roads...
Filled to the heap with coal...
Perhaps a few mining shacks visible back in the
woods...
