Maggie

Everyone should have someone to keep them humble, whether it be spouse, child, or "small furry person". If you've ever been caught doing something dumb, had to change a diaper or clean up hairballs before breakfast, you know what I mean. In my case, she's a five-year-old gray tabby named Maggie.

I've been told that I have more pictures of my cat than some people have of their children. I have two responses to that: (1) they need to take more pictures of their children, and (2) I don't have that many good pictures of Maggie. Here's a couple that I'm pleased with.

Whenever I ask myself, "why do I have a cat?", I look at this picture. I think it speaks for itself. She's about six weeks old, and is sitting in my lap, about to pounce on the camera strap. It's hard to believe that she could ever fit in the palm of my hand.

Here she's all grown up, in a rare dignified moment.
