Frequency Coordination for Live Events&Fixed Installations |
|
As we transform from analog to digital television, the frequency spectrum for rf microphones, ear monitors and intercom is disappearing. Not only are there less frequencies available, but this is creating additional issues. Such issues include the necessity to place frequencies for many rf devices in close proximity to each other and to take into consideration resulting intermodulation, use of specialized antenna distribution and filtering systems, etc. It’s no longer possible to “go fish” for a frequency which will work. The need for a higher level of science in preplanning, and on going monitoring of rf devices for quality control is mandatory for the success of any live show or fixed installation. |
